Barry is known as a motivator, team builder, and collaborator. He held senior executive positions at General Motors of Canada Ltd. in sales, service, field operations, marketing, and public affairs. 

Barry is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Administration degree. He is an active supporter of numerous charities having sat on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Medic Alert Foundation, the Traffic Injury Foundation, as well as the Grandview Children’s Foundation, the Yves Landry Foundation Board, and as a trustee for the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery.
